Was ist die Sommerakademie?
The Summer Academy was launched in 2021 at the University of Münster under the patronage of Professor Dr. Nora Markard. We comprise junior lawyers and academics, legal trainees, and students, and we channeled our frustration with the absence of feminist topics in legal scholarship into the motivation to organize a conference dedicated exclusively to this subject. The conference is organized by a collective that forms anew each year.
Our goal is to enable young lawyers to access feminist legal scholarship and to open a forum in which concrete feminist legal issues are discussed scientifically.
With this, we aim to fill a gap in legal education, where traditionally feminist perspectives on law are hardly taken into account.
Warum gibt es den Verein?
Als Ergänzung zu dem bestehenden Netzwerk und den Organisationskollektiven der vorangeganenen Akademien hat sich im Jahr 2023 auch der Verein Sommerakademie Feministische Rechtswissenschaft e.V. gegründet, der die Akademie institutionell und perspektivisch, aber auch finanziell fördert. Im Verein haben sich deshalb verschiedene Arbeitsgruppen gegründet, die sich mit den Themen Netzwerktreffen, Selbstverständnis und Wissensemanagement beschäftigen.
